The
Launchpoker.com graphic at right does show a definite "launch" in around the 2006 World Series of Poker followed
by a steep drop a month later. However, after that traffic numbers hold steady.
Launch Poker is a very good model for a poker information site. It has sections about most every kind of information that
there is. the information is organized into multiple categories. The volume of information leads to a bit of a blizzard
mentality (will that left side navigation ever end... :), but this is mostly a good thing. Basically: "you want something,
we got it."
The site has an advertising information package available, which tells several important details about the site besides just
package rates. They say the site is the result of 15 contributors in the four languages the site covers.
One risk of course in attempting to cover so much territory is if you fail at even one thing, you tend to look silly.
However, Launch Poker seems to have significant content on everything it covers. The surprising exception is its rather
moribund forum. The surprising part of this is most of the larger poker information sites are a mix of article/content pages
and a forum. Launch Poker's forum seems to help it little in terms of its pretty good search traffic. An increase in the
forum activity could help boost the site to the next level, although it is doing just fine now.
